Why is it not recommended to use face creams around the eye area?

The actual reasons for this are...

1) The tissue immediately under your eyes doesn't have pores, so product can get trapped under the skin instead of absorbed into it. This is what makes those little white pockets some people have under their inner eyes. Eye creams are usually a finer formulation with more concentrated ingredients because you use far less.

2) Some facial creams may irritate the eyes but I think these are few and far between. Most companies will not want to sell you something that could irritate you because you'll just return it. And it definitely won't ';harm'; your eyes because they really don't like getting sued.

3) This way they get to sell you 2 products instead of just one! ;o)Why is it not recommended to use face creams around the eye area?
just because the chance that they could get in your eye. they hurt like hell if they get in there (i've never gotten face cream in mine before, but i have gotten shampoo in my eye and that was awful), and if severe enough could impact your vision, and things like that. Why is it not recommended to use face creams around the eye area?
It depends what type of face cream it is.

I have one, which is really good. A girl across the road from me works for avon, she gives me heaps of different samples, this one is called.';Avon'; Soap free, Facial rub.

Ask your local Avon councaler.
the area around ur eye is very sensitive and delicate..its soo delicate that ur suppossed to use ur ring finger to touch it if u apply makeup for example because using ur forfinger or any finger is a bit toooo harsh
They don't want you to use it because it can damage your eyes. Eye creams are made not to sting or hurt your eyes.

I do it myself sometimes but I'm careful where I place it. Good luck
the skin around the eye area is very sensitive, therefore it could definately become irrated from some creams.
BECAUSE THE INGREDIENTS CAN SERIOUSLY DAMAGE YOUR EYES.
they can get in your eye!
Just a crazy thought...
