Are expensive face creams a waste of money in your opinion?

I was wondering what other women think of the expensive, 'anti ageing' creams on the market and if they really did think they made a differenceAre expensive face creams a waste of money in your opinion?
The overall price of a product is related to the amount of active ingredients in the product, so yes, technically the more expensive products are also more effective. I really think there is a happy medium though, and it's important to know what you want to treat. If you are trying to combat basic signs of aging, like fine lines, uneven pigment and loss of elasticity look for products with vitamin A and C. have adult acne? Look for a retinal based product (a derivative of Vitamin A)Are expensive face creams a waste of money in your opinion?
Think about it logically - your skin is dead, how can you replenish it?

Your body has it's own natural moisture, why add more? Your skin is waterproof so it's not going to absorb anything.

In my opinion, yes, a total waste of money. Buy yourself something else to boost your confidence like new shoes or something :)
My mom spends a lot of money on antiaging creams, moisturizers, etc. She looks very young compared to a lot of the people around. She may be in her late 40s but a lot of my friends think shes 16 if i get dropped off to hang with them...
I'm pretty frugal. So I'd lay off spending money on anything expensive. I'd stick to massages, inexpensive creams and a sensible diet and exercise program. And a good partner! : )
Well, the $2,000 face cream from creme de la mer? Yes, that's a waste of money in my opinion. But I don't have a problem paying a reasonable amount for a QUALITY product.
i am 42 and i use oil of olay/ i have no wrinkles
